Walk: 6km (together, but Greg walked 25km!); total: 392km
After breakfast, Greg went out on his own. He just wandered at his own pace with no particular plan. Ended up catching up with the Sunday markets which were at various locations around the city. He also enjoyed switching between the two rivers which aren’t very far apart. Wendy caught up with some personal admin. Wendy could see where Greg was on Google Maps, and when he was close’ish, she walked out to meet him. We did some stuff together, before buying a couple of baguettes from Paul, with a couple of lovely pastries for dessert. Sat outside in a mall eating and people watching.
We had tried to get into a church we had not yet seen before lunch, however, there was a service happening. After lunch, we went back and the service was finished, however there was still a family in the church and it was still closed to joe public. Oh well, we have seen a few churches over the last seven and a half weeks, so no real loss.
After lunch, Wendy went back to the hotel (she is having a real rest day), and Greg continued with his wandering until he decided he also needed a little rest. We both went out again, Wendy only as far as the train station to buy dinner and Greg went further afield.
Dinner was had after we both watched the final 10km of the TDF. Greg then went for his customary post-dinner wander.
